All Ready, Now Waiting

Today in my reading of Lonesome Dove. The cattle co In the small town of Lonesome Dove is finally ready to set off for montana, and find a new place to prosper. The reason for traveling to Montana is that most of it is unsettled due to the fact indians live in that area. Captain Call and Augustus McCrae have fought, and killed bandits, and indians through out the most of their lives. With their experience, Montana was a prime choice to run the cattle, and pick up buisiness there. Before long it will be settled and people are going to need stock
It is quite a change from the the southern most part of texas to be moving to Montana. I will very much enjoy this book once it starts off.

Lonesome Dove: Not about doves

Looking for a bit of excitement and adventure? Maybe even throw a little bit of love in with it? Well look no further than.....You can't see it can you. Then instead of "looking", let me tell you about this wonderful spell binding book I read every morning in English class, and just cant seem to stay awake in those twenty minutes.
Lonesome Dove, one of the most prized western novels written in America, is a book That covers all aspects of the wild west life style. It is set just before the civil war, and in the great journey s of the cattle drives, does this book center itself upon. As every man aboard risk prosperity and death for a quick buck or a way to better their lives. In this they face Bandits, Robbers, Indians, Venomous reptiles, disease, starvation, and drunk partying Irish men.
This is a great book to read full of joy, laughter, tragedy and love all fitting neatly between the hard backs of the book. As you read you uncover lives of great, and terrible men. Augustus McCrae is one of the greatest. An honest man is he who loves to pick out arguments, and spread his words of wisdom. He gets to be quite the cahoot when you read on about him. His favorite things to do is rest in the shade of the porch, drink whiskey, and kick a pig. All of that while he sits back and grins mockingly, but playfully, at his fellow friends who try to keep their shamble cattle company from falling down. That's my favorite character in the story rigt there man. Flippen LOVE IT!!
